Honest Limo Driver

A limo driver has handed over $14,000 in cash which he found at a petrol station at Melbourne airport.

The limo driver found the cash made up of $50 notes stuffed in an envelope, lying on the ground at the service station. Shortly after the discovery the limo driver noticed a group of men searching for something which turned out to be $14,000 that they had saved to by a car.

“A limo driver has handed over $14,000″

The (very honest) limousine driver promptly handed over the money to the delighted and relieved group.

The limo service driver later told the media that it was the right thing to do….I only wonder what would have happened should a taxi driver had found it?!

Sydney Airport Hire Car Parking

Sydneys International and Domestic airport which has recently been purchased by Macquaire Bank, has now completely changed the way the hire cars pay for their parking which will impact hire car users. Many hire car and limousine operators are now restructuring their pricing for Domestic and International Sydney Airport pickups to compensate for the extra costs.

The Sydney Airports now automatically charge for the airport parking via the limousine’s etag which are fitted in the hire cars. The etag is registered when the hire car or limousine enters the airport parking area and then again when the hire car or limousine exits the airport parking area.

Prior to this arrangement, hire car and limousine operators had to use prepaid parking cards or pay at a ticket machine which was always convenient options as if the limousine parking card had no credit left, the limousine driver could always pay on at the time of parking via the ticket machine. However NOW, if the etag does not register, should the etag be faulty, or if the last bit of credit on the limousine’s etag be used at toll points throughout.
